Ashley Nicole Martin is an actor, singer, dancer and musician from Edison, NJ currently based in NYC, with a love for tap and holding tight harmonies. The often outspoken, silly, ambitious and open-hearted characters she plays are mirrors for the energy she strives to foster in her own community on and offstage.
Since earning a degree in Theatre Performance and Dance at Marymount Manhattan College, Ashley has been working as a performer, dance captain and vocal captain with companies across the US including the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Laguna Playhouse, Umbrella Stage Company, Surflight Theatre and more. She is the founder of Donation Dance, a group dedicated to creating safe, inclusive and accessible dance spaces. She also performs in a variety of cabarets, readings and festivals throughout the city. Passionate about working on both established and new works, she brings a versatile skillset, a playful, collaborative energy, and a deep love for the expansive possibilities of storytelling to every artistic venture.
In her spare time, she loves watching old movie musicals, playing piano, caring for her many houseplants, and scouring her local farmer’s market for exciting ingredients (and neighborhood dogs to pet).
